Look:I bought two pairs of these one in gold and one in chestnut. The leather of the gold pair was much softer and easier to break in than the chestnut pair. I have not worn the chestnut pair much since I was wearing the gold pair all the time, and my only complaint was that yes, they made my feet stink really bad. I wore them without socks, but I wear shoes and sandals without socks all the time and I have only had the stink happen to these shoes and one other pair of sandals. It must be some material used on the inside that causes this. I tried to ignore it for as long as possible, but I cannot do it any longer, and unfortunately they are going in the trash.That being said, they were one of the most comfortable cute shoes I have ever owned. They went great with skirts, skinny jeans, and pants. The front part of my foot is a smidge wide and I did not have any discomfort at all, with no break-in time required. I walked with them for hours and had no complaints. Really rare! Look:I bought a pair of the burgundy shoes. I love them. They are my favorite shoes. They go great with jeans and I can wear them for miles!!! I hate putting them away for the winter (not good for Massachusetts snow), but was smiling in the spring when I pulled them out of my closet.\r\n\r\nIt did take a week or so to break them in (rough on the back of the ankles), but it was well worth it. It goes well with jeans or with dress pants and I have walked about 3 miles at once in these puppies. The footbed is comfortable, but if you have really high arches, it might not have enough support for you. Gorgeous, classy shoes. I have them in brown, but would buy them in black, too (and any other color they came in) if I had the money. Also, Zappos customer service is the best I've ever experienced...and I worked in the customer service industry. Look:This shoe is really comfortable and good looking, and slips off and on easily. It's a great all-purpose shoe for traveling. It's formal enough looking for business, but it's also good for walking, and slips easily on and off for airports. It runs a little narrow; I have narrow feet and besides being a bit loose in the heel (which I corrected with inserts), it fits me well. It has more arch support than your usual flat, too. I haven't noticed the bad smell people have complained about, even though I wore them on a two-week trip where I walked about three miles a day. Nor have I noticed that problem with the finish wearing off, although I get the impression that this only happens with certain colors. These shoes are incredibly comfortable and stylish looking, but I rated them a "4" overall because they smell weird. My feet don't normally smell, but for some reason, in these shoes, they smell terribly! Not sure why - I have many pairs of flats with no similar olfactory problems. Perhaps it's me, but I think it might have something to do with the footbed. If you are comfortable with a smelly insole and/or putting in odor-eaters, then you'll be fine. Look:I bought a pair of the burgundy with black finish shoes. They are the most comfortable shoes I own. They're cute and go great with both skirts and pants. I wear them to the office almost every day and get lots of compliments. I'm going to order a black pair to wear when I go out dancing. I am 5 feet 8 inches and they make me a little taller than my boyfriend but he loves it because they make your legs look long and sexy. I listened to the reviews and ordered a half size up and they were too big. I have a narrow foot and have a hard time finding shoes to fit. Customer service was awesome! I emailed Zappos to ask if I could exchange them for my regular size and they were on my doorstep the next day! They hadn't even received my returned boots yet. But they are also slimmer and less sporty than other privos, which makes them great to wear to the office. For me, the combination of solid cute and solid comfort equals a great shoe. Good idea! I work all day then go to night classes for a master’s degree AND I live in a big city that requires walking a lot. SO... I needed something dressy (for me, they're dressy) for work, but something that I could walk about a mile in without screaming/cursing/generally hating the world. These do the trick. Now... these are not the most beautiful shoes you will ever find, but they're not ugly either. They’re... just... plain. My one complaint is that around the edges it has already started to pucker/ripple a bit, but not enough for anyone but me to notice. HOWEVER... they are comfy. I've always had good luck with Clarks brands, but not with this one. Most reviews say that the shoe runs large, but my toes are crammed to the end of this 8 1/2 shoe. The toe curves up a bit and makes it additionally uncomfortable. After 3 hours of walking in the Privo Oso, my toes and balls of my feet were aching. But the worst part about the shoe is how the back comes up too high around my heel and digs into it when I walk. Plus, I think the leather looks very cheap and overall the shoe looks a little matronly. For the price, I definitely don't feel like I got my money's worth. I would have given them 5 stars for comfort, but I had some rubbing on my left heel when I wore them for the first time. (But I am pregnant, so my feet might have gotten a little swollen during the day). These shoes are super light-weight, and the padding is wonderful. I bought them in black, and I think that they are cuter in person than they are in the picture.
