I thought that the wool made them look ugly. Trying them on, they were very comfortable but the wool is a bit on the warm side. I think that these sandals will be better to wear on a cool fall day instead of in the summer. My teenage daughter really liked the look of these flip flops so I decided that I would buy a pair after all. I am thinking that the look of the shoes will grow on me after I wear them a few times. In addition to supporting a worthwhile cause, these flip-flops turned out to be surprisingly adorable and comfy! The shocker was the comfort of the sole, I thought it was going to be a plain, flat flip-flop sole, but it has arch support and shape to it. The strap in between the toes seems fine; I am always sensitive when it comes to thong style shoes. Time will tell, of course. The wool is so comfy and warm, just right for air-conditioned rooms in the Summer. I placed my order online, and received my shoes the very next day. These were a gift for my girlfriend who just turned 40 and is a breast cancer survivor. She doesn't like all the "pink cancer stuff", but does love to support the cause. She is daily reminded that she is a survivor, but when she can remember quietly she is happy.
